Another must-see for Southampton Common visitors is The Hawthorns Wildlife Centre. It is located in the southeast corner of the common. The garden is open Monday through Friday from 11 am to 3 pm, and on Sundays from noon to 4 pm when there is staff available. You can also enjoy the garden from the cafe terrace of the Centre.
Itchen Valley Country Park
This is a beautiful park that is made up of 440 acres of meadows, woodlands, and water meadows. Over the last four years, it has received a Green Flag award. After exploring the Woodland Nature Reserve or the trails, the Visitor Centre and Cafe are available to relax in.
